Hospice Bereavement Volunteer
AccentCare Hospice St. Louis is seeking compassionate people to join our Vitual Bereavement Volunteer Team. Our Virtual Bereavement Volunteers support the grief needs of our low risk family members, friends, and members within the community. This special group of volunteers supports by making phone calls to bereaved through a prepared script and possibly help connect them with our bereavement services. This is fully remote and done on your time. If interested, volunteers may co-facilitate virtual services of rememberance, and may participate in virtual grief support groups from the comfort of the volunteer's home. All of our Bereavement Volunteers will be trained to assess the needs, responses, coping skills, and support systems of the bereaved. Volunteers will then provide documentation to our psychosocial team who can follow-up, if needed.
