Nursery Volunteer-Wentzville Nursery
Hello~ Thanks so much for your interest in becoming a Saint Louis Crisis Nursery Volunteer. We would LOVE to welcome you to the Nursery! Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a safe haven for children, ages birth-12 years, 24/7, and volunteers care for our children every day. In addition to loving our babies, volunteers also care for our toddlers and school-aged kids by playing games, doing arts & crafts, playing on the playground, etc.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 1x each week, shifts will be scheduled based on your availability as well as the needs of the Nursery. Before you get started with volunteering, there are a few things to take care of first. Here’s some info about what’s required to become a volunteer at one of our Nurseries:

Each potential volunteer must be at least 14 to volunteer with a parent/guardian or 16 to volunteer on their own.

Each potential volunteer must have child care experience (paid or unpaid, for any children other than your own). Babysitting DOES fulfill this requirement.

Successful completion of our Volunteer Packet (attached).

Each potential volunteer at our St. Louis City Centene Nursery will need to be fingerprinted (~$40/applicant). Fingerprinting is not required for our other Nursery locations. Instructions for fingerprinting will be sent after your Volunteer Packet has been reviewed and payment received. We’re unable to accept fingerprinting results that may have been completed for any other purpose.

Additional background screens will be required if you have lived, worked or gone to school outside of Missouri in the past 5 years. Please let me know if this is the case so that I can send you the appropriate forms.

Please include proof of your COVID-19 vaccine.
